MY STORY

I got my start as a potter way back in the 70s when I learnt with an old Buddhist lady who ran a newsagents shop, with a studio out back. Five years later, (at a time of high youth unemployment) my work as a youth leader took me to Kent as manager of a arts & crafts centre. There I taught craft work skills and practised at the wheel after hours. Soon my hand made pots gained much in quality and variety. There then followed many years here in Stourbridge, setting up Wordsley Youth Centre to become a popular rehearsal, recording and performance space for 16-25 year olds - "The Source" youth arts centre.
Though I enjoyed supporting the formation and progress of young bands (and learning
to become a sound engineer) this put my potting onto the back burner for a while.

Now retired, I finally have my own pottery studio above the site of an old brickworks.
After years of making pots for friends and family, I have opened up my collection;

Pedmore Hill Pottery is now selling - I hope you find a few pieces you like!

I sell mostly through local craft fairs and studio visits. The tiles below are not sales items.
